We love a mission-driven company, especially one directly helping our local community and residents. So when we heard about Well Grounded Coffee Co and its amazing story, we rushed over to check it out!

Well Grounded Coffee

Well Grounded sits right near White Rock in the Casa Linda neighborhood on Garland Rd. It’s a faith-based non-profit shop with a deeply engrained mission to help provide women who were formerly incarcerated “a change to change their destiny.”

THE COFFEE SHOP

You’ll find a warm coffee shop with mismatched chairs, yellow walls and wood floors. Pop in for a morning cup of coffee or stay and pull out your laptop to work for the day. To support the surrounding Dallas community, Well Grounded uses Full City Rooster’s coffee beans and sells Maya’s Modern Mediterranean soups and vegan/ GF pastries from Unrefined Bakery.

HOW IT WORKS

Under the nonprofit, The Dignity Project, Well Grounded partners with Exodus Ministries to train their employees and teach them life skills through the coffee house. Additionally, Well Grounded will offer their employees learning opportunities through GED classes, resume building, and community activities.
