Big news for Dallas!! Halperin Park, a long-awaited “park with a purpose,” is officially opening on May 9th! Located right next to the Dallas Zoo, this five-acre park stretches over I-35E, reconnecting neighborhoods that were split decades ago and creating a new gathering space for the city!

More than just green space, Halperin Park is designed to bring people together, with features like a bandshell for concerts, an inclusive playground, outdoor classrooms, water features, food truck areas, and space for community events.
It’s one of the largest investments in Southern Dallas in decades and is expected to become a major destination for both locals and visitors!

Halperin Park is expected to have a long-term impact on Southern Dallas, with projections of more than 2 million visitors a year and over $1 billion in economic impact within its first five years. Beyond the numbers, the park is designed to support local businesses, create jobs, and bring sustained activity and opportunity to the surrounding Oak Cliff community!
OPENING WEEKEND (MAY 9-10)
The celebration kicks off Saturday 5/9 at 9am and runs all weekend with:
