One of Austin’s most talked-about Mediterranean restaurants is coming north! Aba will be opening in the Design District at The Seam Dallas later this year, and we’re so excited! Many Dallasites already know Aba from trips to Austin, where it’s built a strong following for its mezze-style menu and polished indoor-outdoor seating right on South Congress. This will be the brand’s fourth location, joining Chicago, Austin, and Nashville.

ABA
Aba is led by Top Chef alum CJ Jacobson and centers around shareable Mediterranean dishes with a California influence. Their hummus options are standouts, as well as their grilled kebabs, shawarma-spiced steak frites, pistachio-crusted halibut, and slow-braised short rib with pomegranate-date glaze. It’s designed for ordering multiple plates and sharing with the table!

THE SPACE
The Dallas restaurant will also feature indoor and outdoor dining surrounded by olive trees, layered greenery, mosaic tile, and warm, Mediterranean-inspired details. If it mirrors the Austin location, expect a lively patio and a space that feels elevated but approachable.
Aba comes from Chicago-based hospitality group Lettuce Entertain You, marking its first restaurant opening in Dallas proper! No official opening date has been announced, but it’s expected to debut in late 2026.
