If you’ve been craving a dinner spot that feels elevated but still warm and soulful, Babel recently opened and it’s exactly that! It’s inside the Centrum building, and comes from the team behind the beloved Open Sesame, bringing Levantine-inspired dishes into a more refined, sit-down experience!

BABEL
Babel is rooted in family recipes and Lebanese hospitality, led by restauranteur Mo Kamal and chef Zeina Kamal. It’s a natural next chapter to Open Sesame, with familiar flavors, just taken up a notch with thoughtful plating, a full cocktail menu, and a stunning dining room.

ON THE TABLE
Start with fluffy pita, shish barak, batata harra, and a spread of hummus (the chickpeas are peeled by hand, so the hummus is super silky!). For mains, you need to try their beautifully cooked lamb chops, whole branzino, or lamb ravioli. Save room for dessert, too! Their baklava is a must!
THE DRINKS
We tried every cocktail and the Dubai chocolate espresso martini was probably our favorite one (even for the espresso martini skeptics). The bar program is playful but still elegant, and you really can’t go wrong with anything!
THE SPACE + DETAILS
Soft curves, draped details, warm tones… the room feels like a modern Mediterranean retreat. It’s the perfect place for a special dinner, date night, or when friends are in town and you want to impress!
Find Babel at 3180 Welborn St., open Mon-Thurs from 4-10pm, Fri from 4-11pm, and Sat from 5-11pm! They also bring out a DJ later into the night! 👀
