Common Interest karaoke bar and grill is open all year round for your karaoke needs. Here you can belt out oldies and ‘21 hit singles, it’s up to you if you want the spotlight on center stage or the comfort of their private karaoke rooms. Main stage karaoke starts at 8 PM all week! Private rooms are BOGO free on weekdays until 7 PM and each one has touch-screen karaoke systems! Rooms have 10-30 person capacities; small rooms start at $25 an hour and large rooms are $50 an hour! Sing in your very own private karaoke room from 2 PM to 2 AM Monday through Friday or 4 PM to 2 AM on weekends!

Part of the Alamo Drafthouse family, the Alamo Highball has you covered for all of your karaoke needs. They have 7 incredibly themed karaoke rooms for you to strut your stuff and show your crew what you’ve got. Choose from The Inferno (if you’re into the heavy metal church metal feel), The Black Lodge from Twin Peaks, the classic Super Mario gamer room, the glitter glam superstar, or haunted house Midnight Manor theme! Private rooms are available for booking for parties 21+ and walk-ins are always welcome. Each room gets a private server for all your food and drink needs! P.S. you can activate their magic voice synthesizer if you’re in need of some voice lessons (and yes, they have those fun voice modulators)! Highball is temporarily closed due to COVID, but let’s keep our fingers crossed for their grand reopening!

Unleash your inner Mariah Carey at this late night karaoke spot. Their 9 private rooms range in size (small, medium, and large) and each comes with state of the art video screens and sound systems! From Sunday through Thursday starting at 6 PM, small and medium rooms are $15 an hour for 4 people (bring more people for an extra $5 per person)! After 8 pm, rates increase to $20 an hour! Large rooms with 20 person capacity start at $70 an hour with a 2 hour minimum. Weekend rates differ so check online before you head there! They’re open till 2 AM on weeknights and push it back an hour for those last few notes on weekends. Each room is cleaned and sanitized after each group. P.S. students get a college discount!

EGO'S

An Austin classic, Ego’s is a must for anyone trying to brand themselves as an Austinite. It’s known as Ausin’s most iconic karaoke dive bar, so plan accordingly and arrive early to snag a table. Karaoke starts at 8 PM and the music doesn’t stop till 2 AM. This spot is difficult to locate, but trust us when we say it’s worth the gas station-office building-parking garage trek. The drinks are cold and cheap, so down that liquid courage and hit the stage. Don’t forget to warm up those vocal cords.

Our favorite spot on West 6th is best known as ATX’s entertainment mecca: they’ve got duckpin bowling, mechanical bull rides, arcade games, AND two themed private karaoke rooms. Rooms are available on a first come first serve basis unless you book via email/phone or online. The east room is $40 and the West room is $50 an hour! The best part? You can get your lineup ready by creating song playlists straight from your phone! Snag that room early before we beat you to it!

This Anderson Lane hot spot opens at 6 PM and stays open till midnight or 1 AM on weekends! They offer BYOB for food and beverages. What more could you ask for? They have 8 rooms in varying sizes with occupancy ranging from 6 party people to 20! You can book a reservation in advance or show up ready to party! Their song book has everything from R&B and pop to rock and more. They even feature popular tunes from Korea, Japan, the Philippines, and Indonesia! Small room rates for 5 people start at $20 an hour and $5 more for each additional person (up to 10)! Medium rooms start at $35 for 8 people but can hold a party of 14 and large room rates begin at $60 an hour for 15 people (9 more people can be added for $5 a person)!

You don’t need a reason to party at Punch Bowl Social. There are only two karaoke rooms at each location in Austin, but they offer arcade games, darts, bowling, and even putt putt for patrons while they wait for private rooms! For parties of 1-4 at the Domain location, hourly rates are $35. For larger groups of 5 to 8 singers, rooms are $45 an hour. If you’re joining in on the fun downtown, hourly room rates are the same but the larger room can accommodate up to 10 people. Sip on craft cocktails and yummy bites while your (possibly tone deaf) friends belt their hearts out.
