THE BIRTHDAY PARTY PROJECT
There are currently more than 2.5 million children experiencing homelessness in the country. For many, rising rent costs or unexpected family illnesses have forced them out of their homes. Amid these challenges, The Birthday Party Project (TBPP) is on a mission to celebrate every child’s birthday, no matter where they are or who they’re with. By partnering with shelters and transitional living facilities, they show up every month to celebrate each child’s special day!
HOW TO GET INVOLVED
🎂 Give: TBPP has two main programs, In-Person Parties and the Birthday in a Bag initiative and you can support these by giving fun, age-appropriate games, activities, and decorations!
🎉 Volunteer: Help throw a birthday party at partner shelters! Just a couple of hours could be the highlight of a child’s year or life!
🎤 Advocate: Spread the word! Let everyone know about their mission and invite them to get involved so that no child’s birthday goes uncelebrated!
SUMMER SPRINT FUNDRAISER
You can also help monetarily and donate to their Summer Sprint fundraiser!! They’re hoping to reach $300k to continue their meaningful work to make every child feel special! So if you can’t give your time but can support financially, please consider donating to their fundraiser!
