There’s a new restaurant in town and it’s bringing all the vibes and elevated cuisine from Mexico City to Dallas! Bocado has been open for a few weeks and we finally visited last weekend! It has amazing food and drinks, lounge vibes, and awesome service!

BOCADO

Find Bocado in the former Dahlia space at the intersection of Ross and Hall! You can’t miss the neon sign and yes they have valet!

The space has an industrial feel but is also swanky with dim lighting, velvet seating, and chandeliers. The bar is the center of the space with wrap around seating, and we can’t wait for the patio to open this spring that is sure to be just as stunning!!

THE FOOD

The menu is divided by salads, cold dishes, apps (shared plates), main entrees, and desserts. We definitely recommend asking your server for his/her favorites, as we wouldn’t have probably ordered the beet salad and are SO glad we asked, it was seriously amazing!

WE TRIED

+ Betabel salad (the cheese and pistachios... so yum)

+ Pink panther hamachi

+ Tuna and watermelon

+ Filet bañado

+ Sea bass with black rice… a fav!

+ Cheesquite for dessert, aka corn cheesecake topped with caramel popcorn… unreal!

THE DRINKS

Come for the food, stay for the drinks! All of our drinks were delicious and so fun! The mango puree cocktail with chamoy rim was a standout, plus the “off menu” raspberry cocktail served in a piggy glass was so yummy and cute! They also have an old fashioned made tableside and a variety of margs!

SPEAKEASY

Although not featured in the video, we cannot wait to re-visit for the speakeasy! Beyond the restaurant tucked in the back, find a speakeasy with colorful lights, booths, club music, and interactive mirrors! It looks like SUCH a vibe!
