Say hello to the new Tacos Juancho, taking over the former Rusty Taco space on Oak Lawn, with a signature orange color flooding the exterior and interior space!
Updated September 2025
TACOS JUANCHO
The owner, Juan, from where the name originates, has seasoned industry experience from his first restaurants @elatarondallas and @eloteslokos2021. He was inspired to transition from tortas and elotes to tacos, “carry forward the CDMX spirit while building something that truly belongs in Dallas.”

ORANGE ALL AROUND
The space is not subtle about its usage of orange - from the tile that wraps the interior walls, to the chairs, paint, decorative details, Jarritos bottles and more, it’s an all-out orange affair inside, and even out!
TACOS, QUESADILLAS AND MARGARITAS
The menu is simple, with the vocal point being their street meats - asada, pastor, barbacoa, pollo, saudero, chicharron prensado, campechano and nopalitos - served in a taco or quesadilla.
Enjoy with a Jarritos to match the interior, a homemade aqua fresca, or a fresh mango marg (frozen) or DELICIOUS avocado marg (called the Aquacate…highly recommend!)
BLUE CORN, BIRRIA OR RIB-EYE
Try the birria on weekends or try some of their special quesadillas served on a hand-pressed blue corn tortilla with melted queso asadero. Choose from chicharron, nopalitos or huitalacoche.
Or, enjoy a Caonera de Rib-eye on those that we tried and loved!
DETAILS & LOCATION
Find Taqueria Juancho, open daily starting at 11am, at 3604 Oak Lawn Ave. On Fridays and Saturdays, they’re open late until 1am!
P.S. we do want to note that this taqueria is not connected to the Dallas fave taqueria chain Chilangos. Many people have asked us following a Story we shared, given how closely the designs appear.
