Join fellow Christian women to read and discuss everything from personal values to a myriad of genres! This book club typically meets on Saturdays, every other month.

 

Books, Beer, and You

This book club is for dudes who love to read books and drink beer! The book club is hosted through a discussion board on GoodReads, but meets in real life, too. Sign up through the link above for information on meetings!

 

Brown Book Babes

This community-driven book club focuses on empowering and connecting Black women through a shared love of reading! The reading list is diverse, with both fiction and non-fiction, so there’s truly something for everyone. They meet monthly, typically on Saturdays, and you can sign up on this web page.

 

Dallas Book and Sip Club

This club hosts multiple events per month, beyond their regular book “party,” from philanthropy, wellness and social events. Fill out their sign-up form to join!

 

Dallas Public Library

Explore dozens of free book clubs across Dallas with the Dallas Public Library! They host multiple events each month for all ages at several of their branches. Genres range from true crime and sci-fi to classics and romance. Check their website calendar to find the club for you!

 

Half Price Books


Dallas Sci-Fi Book Club

If you love transporting to different futuristic worlds when you read, check out this club! They meet once a month (every last Wednesday at 7pm) on Zoom or at the Half Price Books Flagship store.

 

Deep Vellum Books

The third Thursday of each month, this Deep Ellum publisher hosts a “Backlist Book Club” aka something from the company’s oldest of published titles. 

 

Denton Queer Book Club

Members of the LGBTQIA+ community and allies alike can find community and inspiration at this inclusive club! The group meets monthly at Aura Coffee, and all the books read are written by LGBTQIA+ authors or deal with related topics.

 

Elevated Bookworms

One of the larger clubs in DFW, Elevated Bookworms invites members on a journey of empowerment, wisdom, and success through the reading and discussion of a variety of self-help books!

 

Frisco Public Library


Frisco Public Library

This massive library with a dinosaur inside it hosts several free book clubs each month, including clubs for seniors, English as a second language, virtual clubs, and a variety of genres!

 

Lit and the City

Local book blogger and avid reader Stephanie Lopez hosts monthly book clubs at fun venues around the city, like Virgin Hotels Dallas and Griggs Park! Follow along on Instagram to stay up to date on her book events, and get some great book recommendations.

 

Silent Book Club 

This club is all about silence! Bring your book and sit among other members as you read in silence in awesome spots around town, like the Arboretum or various coffee shops. And sometimes, enjoy planned chit-chat or other activities too! 

 

Talking Animals Books

This indie book store in Historic Downtown Grapevine hosts ALL the book clubs: Horror, Romance, Sci-Fi and Fiction! They also bring in many children’s authors on Thursdays for storytime for kids!

 

The Bare Book Club

If you’re looking to spice up your literary world, look no further than Bare Book Club, a one-of-a-kind theatre experience where literature, art, and acting combine as their team reads to you completely in the buff! Their events calendar for 2025 is already out, with multiple events at venues like Deep Ellum Community Center and Theatre Three. Tickets range from $25 to $35.

 

The Colony Book Club

This book club in the ‘burbs meets once a month, on the second Sunday at 2pm at The Thirsty Growler in The Colony. The reading list is all fiction books, with a focus on thriller, mystery, and psychological books!

 

The Gloss

Join a diverse community of readers via this inclusive global book club for women! Founded in London, The Gloss connects readers from around the world – all Gloss chapters read the same book at the same time and meet up once a month on the same day. The Gloss has two DFW chapters: one in Dallas and one in Farmers Branch, plus virtual meetings and memberships!

 

The Plot Twist Book Bar

If you haven’t been to the hottest new bookstore in DFW, here’s your chance! This independent, romance-focused bookstore in Denton features a cocktail lounge, aesthetically pleasing space, and multiple book clubs each month, divided by genre. Where the Wild Books R

This book club has quite a diverse reading list, rotating through classics and contemporary books of short to moderate length. The group meets on Sunday evening every three weeks in the North Dallas area, and the average age group is 26 to 39.
