A swanky new hotel is coming to Dallas soon…the Dallas Proper Hotel, from Proper Hotels, the group behind the Michelin Key-winning Austin Proper Hotel!

DALLAS PROPER HOTEL
When researching the hotels recently awarded Michelin Keys in Texas, we stumbled upon a section on Proper Hotel group’s website that said “Dallas - coming soon”. As fans of the Austin Proper Hotel and Proper Hotels’ other locations, we were so excited!
However, we scoured the web it appears that there is no further information available about the Dallas Proper Hotel. Rumors on message boards have speculated that it will be built in Uptown, which isn’t surprising considering the number of luxury hotels and dining the neighborhood has seen popping up over the last few years. We can’t wait for more information to come out!

PROPER HOSPITALITY
Proper Hospitality owns and operates boutique, luxury hotels at eleven locations across the United States, some under the Proper Hotels brand, and a few more under the Avalon and Hotel June brands. The current Proper Hotels are located in Austin, Downtown Los Angeles, San Franciso, and Santa Monica. Named “Hotelier of the Year 2020” by Hospitality Design, the group is known for delivering top-notch service and laid-back luxury vibes.
All the Proper Hotels are designed with West Coast inspiration in mind, brought to life by Kelly Wearstler, an American interior designer. Not only are the hotels stunning inside and out, but they’re also known to have amazing restaurants and bars attached to them! We can’t wait to see what they have in store for Dallas.
AUSTIN PROPER HOTEL
One of our absolute favorite hotels in Austin is the Austin Proper Hotel. The only Proper Hotel outside of California, the brand’s decision to open a sister hotel to Austin Proper in Dallas makes perfect sense! The Austin Proper Hotel is home to a stunning rooftop pool, West Coast-meets-Western interiors, and three of Austin’s most beloved restaurants and bars: La Piscina, The Quill Room, The Peacock, and Goldie’s. It was awarded one Michelin Key this year, a coveted award from one of the leading, most internationally recognized travel guides.
LUXURY HOTELS IN DALLAS
To us, the expansion of the Proper Hotels brand to Dallas is as exciting as it is unsurprising. We’ve seen a trend this year of out-of-town restaurants expanding to Dallas, sometimes as their first city outside of their hometown. It makes perfect sense that the trend would roll over to the hotel industry, too!
We’ve definitely seen an increase in luxury stays popping up across the city and the surrounding metroplex, including Michelin-awarded spots like Hotel Swexan, Bowie House, Casa Duro, and more. It’s an exciting time for visitors and locals alike, and we can’t wait to book a staycation at the Dallas Proper Hotel!
