Diagon Alley is real and coming to us muggles next week, on October 31st through November 2nd, thanks to a husband-wife duo whose love for Harry Potter transcends to an incredibly intricate life-size alley! And we have the details!

Updated October 2024

DIAGON ALLEY IN DALLAS

Now in its 6th year, a home off of Swiss Ave in Old East Dallas is transforming its backyard into Diagon Alley once again! Each year, the set up becomes more and more detailed, with buildings like Gringotts Bank and Olivander’s built out in 3D wood frames. Everything is made by hand by the husband and wife, and having seen it in person tonight, it is extremely impressive!

NEW ADDITIONS IN 2024

This year, the alleyway will come to life as the Forbidden Forest, and the garage, Hogwart’s! Knockturn Alley is also joining the lineup too at the backside of Diagon, to make up a total 21 shops, one school and one forest!

DETAILS IN EVERY CORNER

There’s memorabilia, trinkets, and toys all hidden within the various shops. Every kid that comes through gets a mini wand from Weasley’s Wizard Wheezes, one gold coin from Gringott’s, and a candy from Honeydukes! See a dementor fly above you, along with Hedwig delivering a letter to Harry, there’s a fire-breathing dragon guarding the bank, and more!

HOW TO VISIT

Head to the corner of Bryan Parkway and Beacon St down from Swiss Ave. There’s an opening right on the street that opens right into Diagon Alley (the home’s backyard.) The pop up will be open on Halloween, the 1st and 2nd starting at around dusk.

DONATIONS!

It’s completely free to visit - last year, they received over 1,500 guests but they are raising money for Dallas Children’s Advocacy Center!

So send these article to your Harry Potter obsessed friends or take your kids -- we really were blown away by the detail, it’s a trip to see for any aged muggle and wizard alike!
