If you love history, true crime, or exploring the city in new ways, you have to check out Sinister Strolls…a two-hour, 1.5-mile walking tour through Downtown Dallas that dives deep into the city’s untold stories.
Updated October 2025
SINISTER STROLLS
Led by Jesse and Frank (two of the kindest, most knowledgeable guides you’ll ever meet), the tour blends Dallas history, true crime, and social justice into an experience that’s equal parts eerie and eye-opening.

ABOUT THE TOUR
The walk starts beneath the glowing red Pegasus outside the Omni and winds through some of Downtown’s most historic (and haunting) landmarks. As the sun sets, you’ll hear stories about:
👁 The Eyeball Killer (told next to the giant Eyeball)
🕯 The wrongful killing of Allen Brooks
🎤 Tina Turner’s escape from abuse
🏛 The Dallas mafia and city elites
📍 The JFK Memorial
🪦 Pioneer Park Cemetery, where the tour ends after dark
It’s spooky, yes… but it’s also educational, respectful, and rooted in truth. The stories shed light on victims and injustices that shaped Dallas’ past, offering an honest look at the city’s history that rarely gets told.
WHY WE LOVED IT
This isn’t your typical tour. Jesse and Frank approach every story with empathy and care…no cheap scares or dramatization, just powerful storytelling and real history. You’ll walk away with a new perspective on the city (and maybe a few chills down your spine).
