Being outside and enjoying some good grub and drinks is a weekly activity for Dallasites, and of course, it's always better if our dogs can join the party! Luckily, there are far fewer places that aren't dog friendly than are in Dallas, but here are some of the most dog friendly!
THE RANCH AT LAS COLINAS
With adoption and rescue charity events, it’s no secret that The Ranch at Las Colinas is pet friendly! They have an expansive patio area that feels like your own down South backyard and even a special menu for your pups. The menu consists of 4 different pooch pilates or 2 different homemade doggie treats!
ALL breeds and sizes are welcome, and they have a @vodkafordogpeople swag available! Happy hour is from 2-6 PM every Monday-Friday. It’s the perfect place to sip a cocktail and soak up the beautiful patio weather with your furry friend.
P.S. look out for two of their annual dog events with DFW Rescue Me: Dinner for Justice (January) and Pups, Pints, and Prosecco (the fall).
LAS COLINAS | DIRECTIONS
You know that Chelsea Corner is a prime spot to cheer on your favorite sports games on one of their 21 screens, but have you been on their 2,500 square foot pup friendly patio? Their lush, green Beer Garden hosts cozy couches, high tables, picnic tables and shady umbrellas to stay cool with your pooch! So call all your fellow dog parents for your next brunch spot!

HG SPLY CO
Treat your four-legged bff to a date they’ll never forget with patio hangs at a local favorite. If you’re going to the Lower Greenville location you and your pup can enjoy a rooftop patio and the option of shaded seating with cooling fans. The staff at HG Sply Co. will also serve water to dogs, as well. Don’t forget to snap a pic with the skyline views!

KATY TRAIL ICE HOUSE
Probably the most iconic dog-friendly patio in Dallas, with one in Plano aka the Katy Trail Ice House Outpost too, this is like a backyard party for your pooch to socialize with other dogs. Whether it's summer or winter, their patios are primed to host its guests comfortably, furry friends included! Water bowls will be served and the large, shady trees provide perfect coverage from the Texas sun. Best part? You can walk your dog there, along the Katy Trail!
LA LA LAND KIND CAFE
When you think of the adorably branded La La Land Cafe, you might immediately think of coffee and an Instagrammable environment. If La La Land isn’t already one of your favorite spots, we’re sure it will be when you hear they are actually dog-friendly with their patio + their own mini dog park area for you and your pup to hang and make new friends! That’s right, they actually have an enclosed area to leave your dog while you enjoy your coffee and avo toast!

You can’t have dog in your name and not be dog friendly!! Lazy Dog’s patios, located in the suburbs of Dallas, are made for two-legged and four-legged friends alike, and they have the dog statue to prove it! Sit around their large, group fire pit on chillier nights or pull up a chair with friends at the bar or a table without having to leave your pup at home. And what’s more is that Lazy Dog offers a dog menu including 2 savory dog bowls; chicken or beef with brown rice and veggies!

At Toller Patio Bar + Kitchen on Ross Avenue, you can always expect their colorful and huge patio full of puppy love. With happy hour til 7pm, you can enjoy tasty bites and refreshing sips while your pup enjoys one of their peanut butter puppy popsicles which we even think sounds amazing! For all patio people, you can’t go wrong with summer days spent on the Toller patio!
OLD EAST DALLAS | DIRECTIONS
You had us at a huge patio and cocktails, but being dog-friendly is the cherry on top! Redfield’s Tavern is a new hit that came to Dallas’ medical district in late 2019 and we are happy to have them. When you’re looking for a new spot for lunch with your pup, check out their beautiful patio that gives the comfort of a homey backyard and has plenty of room + grassy space for dogs.
