Happy State Fair of Texas! We always love going to the fair and trying all of the fried foods. And wow, this year, there’s an insane selection! We’ve already highlighted one ridiculous new creation from Fletcher's Corny Dogs: the new Hot Bird Dog. Read about the rest of the creations below!





Best Sweet: The Armadillo
A semi-frozen ice cream drizzled with cookie butter and placed between two deep-fried Armadillo-shaped cookies.

Best Savory & Most Creative: Deep Fried Seafood Gumbo Balls
Using a recipe handed down for four generations that represent “the true essence of New Orleans,” these fried balls of gumbo won over the hearts of judges this year!
