Hispanic Heritage Month is coming up from September 15 to October 15, and given that 30% of DFW’s population is Hispanic, you can bet that a lot is going on across Dallas and Fort Worth to celebrate! We’ve rounded up some events around DFW that all ages can enjoy and commemorate the achievements and contributions of Latinx, Hispanic, and Latino-identified communities!

HISPANIC HERITAGE MONTH
The month came to be because September 15 is the anniversary of independence for Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, and Nicaragua. Additionally, Mexico and Chile celebrate their independence days on the 16th and 18th, respectively. Lastly, Día de la Raza or “Day of the Races,” a Latin American celebration, takes place on October 12th!
