We got the coolest opportunity to do a matcha tasting at La Maison Bleue. It was such an educational (and delicious) experience for us matcha lovers, all led by founder Anna, who walked us through everything!

LA MAISON BLEUE
Known for their viral Sakura Matcha and stunning drinks, La Maison Bleue is one of the best spots in DFW for seasonal, handcrafted drinks and desserts. Every drink is made without artificial syrups or preservatives, and you can find them at SMU Dedman School of Law, Mitsuwa in Plano, and in Revolving Kitchen at Fairview!
THE MATCHA TASTING EXPERIENCE
We joined Anna for her guided matcha tasting, and if you’re a matcha lover yourself, we couldn’t recommend it more! It includes three types of ceremonial-grade matcha, and you’ll start by tasting each one in its purest form, just water and matcha, and then try them again as lattes with your choice of milk and a touch of sweetener.
You’ll even learn proper whisking technique and try it for yourself with her as your guide!
P.S. Between sips, we reset our palate with handmade mochi that Anna made herself…a nod to traditional wagashi and the level of care and detail she puts into the whole experience.

Anna is the founder of La Maison Bleue, a local tea artisan creating small-batch drinks from scratch using high-quality Japanese and North Texas-sourced ingredients. She has a passion for making healthier, more intentional beverages, and you can see that reflected in her matcha tastings!
