If you can’t decide between Neapolitan or New York pizza, you’re in luck because at Neony Pizza you can get the best of both worlds!

NEONY

This bright yellow and brick eatery opened at the very end of last year, and can be found in a colorful and quaint spot on West Davis next to Talking Out of Turn and Joy Macarons. A husband and wife duo decided to open the pizzeria because of their love for the neighborhood and its community…but its not their first! The husband Alex Ham, who’s a commercial photographer by day, opened a pizzeria in Seoul several years ago. Now he’s back to do just that again in Oak Cliff!

ABOUT THE PIES

A cross between Neapolitan and New York pizza, Neony is the first of its kind, and they use a 72 hour fermented dough technique that helps make their pies out-of-this-world good! In fact, it was an instant hit, selling out nightly when first opened. We were so impressed ourselves, the pizzas are seriously heavenly with a thick, soft crust

WHAT TO ORDER

Stick to the classics like Pepperoni, Veggie, Cheese or Margherita or change it up and try a creative take like Pesto Green, Banh Mi or Curry Shrimp Delight. If the Banh Mi, complete with lemongrass sausage and house cilantro aioli, caught your eye, it’s one of their top sellers, and is a node to the owners’ culinary education in Vietnam!

But the most popular? The “Cup & Char” made with house tomato sauce, cup & char pepperoni, mozzarella and whipped marscapone. PS if you’re gluten free, any pizza can be made on cauliflower crust.

So, grab your Za lovers for the next time you’re seeking a new pizza place or in Oak Cliff and in need of a greasy good snack! (Just note, they don’t serve lunch & are closed on Tuesdays!)
