We got to check out Ateliê by the Experience, and it’s such a cool spot! It opened in mid-December 2025 in Oak Cliff, and the vibe is unlike anything else in Dallas. Think rustic, art-forward, and warm, with a mix of San Miguel de Allende charm and old-world Portuguese texture! The space feels handcrafted and lived-in, and it totally transports you the second you walk in.

ATELIÊ
The menu features globally-inspired, chef-driven bistro fare, that’s rooted in technique, seasonal ingredients, and cultural storytelling, yet still approachable enough for everyday dining! The food is curated by Michelin-trained Chef Wyl Lima, known for his unique recipes and strong presence in the Dallas dining scene, so you know it’s going be good.

PLUS AN ART GALLERY?
This spot is especially unique for their rotating art collection curated by Daisha Board Gallery, where as the seasonal dishes change so does the art! Unless it is part of their personal collection, everything you see on display is available for purchase.
WHAT WE TRIED
The menu is tight and thoughtful, with just 14 dishes including dessert! Every plate was full of flavor and beautifully presented. We tried:
🥕 Sweet Potato & Roasted Carrots
🍝 Wagyu Bolognese
🐟 Grilled Mackerel
🍗 Half Roasted Chicken
🥮 Matcha Cheesecake
Our fave cocktails were the Passion Fruit Margarita and the Oolong Lavender Spritz, but if you’re feeling bold, try the Hot Cheeto-infused Dirty Martini 👀
A MULTI-COURSE TASTING MENU
Launching in March 2026 is “Origen,” a 7-10 course tasting menu with an optional wine pairing! The name means “origin” in Portuguese (Chef Wyl is from Angola, where Portuguese is the native language), and the experience will reflect his culinary roots!
