RAMBLE ROOM

Jon Alexis, the owner of Dallas seafood institution TJ's Seafood, and also Malibu Poke and Escondido, is taking it up a notch with this new high-end American eatery. And according to an Eater article, even though you’ll find Ramble Room in Park Cities, “it’s one without pretense. There’ll be no dress codes or mandatory 30-minute waits without a reservation.”

That also means it’s family-friendly!

THE SPACE

A modern, airy, and sleek take compared to other bistros here that feel more like a man cave, we got feels for the California wine country. It helps that there’s a wine wall too! Other signature moments include a giant horseshoe bar with a suspended top and a curved staircase leading up to a tiny loft of about 10 tables that overlooks the entire restaurant.

THE MENU

Creative martinis, classic American starters, hearty pasta, all the steak, and burgers, plus fresh seafood by TJ’s make up the menu. They aim to use the freshest ingredients and there’s even a housemade corned beef Reuben!

WHAT WE TRIED

Start with one of 7 martinis: a vesper, cookies & cream latte, or our favorite, the Where There’s Smoke There’s Fire (a mezcal martini meets spicy cocktail of sorts.) For appetizers, get the Swedish meatballs! And for your mains, the Italian sausage rigatoni was a highlight!

MORE DETAILS

Reservations are already open on Resy! And when that warm weather comes (and stays), there’s an expansive patio that overlooks the area where you can find Ramble Room (and you can find it right next to Crisp & Green and Foxtrot!)

So get excited “for a little “R&R” as the menu states!
