KĀI is Plano's elevated Pan-Asian concept with three bars, two outdoor patios, an open wok kitchen and a full sushi bar. However, it's most well-known for the Robatayaki cooking, a.k.a. a Japanese method of cooking over hot charcoal! The owners, who also own Toulouse, Bistro 31, and Taverna, opened KĀI to bring a modern and exciting twist to Pan-Asian cuisine.

ATMOSPHERE

KĀI sets the mood right when you walk in the door with an eye catching neon sign reading, “Kiss me I won’t tell.” This swanky spot is perfect for date nights with multiple lounge areas, moody lighting, and a Japanese flower display covering the entire ceiling. Make sure to stop by on Saturday nights to enjoy live DJ performances from 10 PM to 2 AM.

ASIAN FARE

KĀI is modernizing Pan-Asian cuisine but also offers traditional Chinese and Thai dishes, like Peking Duck and Pad Thai. We recommend starting off with the shishito peppers and miso glaze. If you’re wanting sushi, they have a full sushi bar with classic rolls, such as Philadelphia and California rolls, or if you’re feeling adventurous you can try a speciality roll, like The Sunny. Looking to take your Kai experience to the next level? Try the Omakase dinner for two or four guests!

DRINKS & HAPPY HOUR

Enjoy a wide variety of speciality cocktails with Japanese influence from the shishito mango margarita to the most popular drink, the One Night in Bangkok, which is their twist on a lychee martini. And don’t miss happy hour weekdays from 4-6 PM with half priced bites and and discounted brews, wines, and cocktails!

The kitchen is open Monday - Saturday from 4-11 PM with additional lounge hours on the weekend!
