Not a fan of crunchy snow cones? This one’s for you, and trust us, it might be better than regular snow cones. We stopped by So Icy, a culture-driven frozen dessert brand bringing Philly water ice to Dallas, and we’re hooked. If you’ve never had Philly water ice before, it’s cold treat season, so this spot is a must!

SO ICY

So Icy has been serving up Philly water ice in Dallas for three years and just expanded into a bigger shop with a turfed patio, string lights, and a view of the Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge. The cozy spot blends nostalgic flavors with laid-back vibes, offering handcrafted water ice, gelati, and adult-friendly frozen treats. With new ideas on the way, including coffee and matcha coming soon 👀, they’re just getting started!

THE MENU

Their water ice is smooth like sorbet but packed with the fruity flavor of a snow cone. With flavors like tropical rainbow, passion fruit, and sugar-free cherry, you can mix and match or go all in with a gelati (water ice topped with ice cream). They also have nostalgic snacks like pretzels, loaded chips, and Kool-Aid pickles, with even more treats coming soon (plus some adult-friendly options)! We tried:

🍧 Tropical rainbow water ice

🍦 Strawberry lemonade with strawberry vanilla swirl gelati

🍍 Pineapple and mango water ice with chamoy + tajin (our fave)

🌮 Walking nachos

🍪 Red velvet ice cream sandwich

🍓 Strawberry vanilla swirled ice cream cone

🍨 Vanilla ice cream with Oreos
