Bird Bird Biscuit was started by 2 Austin friends who knew this city had a love for chicken biscuits and they were not wrong! Since 2018, Bird Bird Biscuit has continued to be a popular spot among locals and guests, alike. A Queen Beak coming right up!  



A food truck concept that does all things “biscuit”. Order a 3 biscuit dish or a 1 biscuit dish. Keep it simple with gravy or go crazy with eggs, sausage and jalapeño! 



We’ve said it once and we’ll say it again - with biscuits or cornbread as a starter, you know you’ve found a comfort food gold mine! Colleen's Kitchen is a neighborhood go-to spot, family owned and operated by folks who believe good times, like good food and drinks, should be shared. 1 pot pie and 1 family style fried chicken and every single side on the menu, please!



An upscale downtown restaurant with a cozy charm! If you don’t order the Fix Buscuits (omg the butter and honey), you are wrong! Fixe Southern House has a whole lot of everything especially if you are in the market for some comfort food. Start with deviled eggs and pimento cheese and top it all of with an entree: either the Fried Chicken or Pulled Pork Sandwich. We can guarantee you will leave full as ever!



What’s more comforting than a burger or sandwich with a donut as a bun? You can’t go wrong with anything on this menu - we’ll take the Netflix & Chili and and Sausy Cock. Please & thank you! 



Looking for a place that feels like home? Well, here you go! Hoover’s is truly home-style Texas cooking. An entire section of the menu titled “Southern Pride”. Go all out with the Chicken Fried Steak or the Meatloaf referred to as “The most comforting of comfort foods.” 



You will not be disappointed by anything on the menu at Jack A’s! Since 2009, JA’s has been bringing Southern-inspired flavors infused with the spice of Southwestern cuisine to the Austin area and we are happy to have them! Our comfort food favorites would have to be the 5 Cheese Mac and Chicken (duh), 13 Spiced Chicken Pasta, Chicken Fried Chicken or Chicken Fried New York Strip.

Jacoby’s is a family owned, ranch-to-table dining experience located in East Austin. When I say we got everything on the menu, I am not lying! From the shrimp & grits to the family sized Mac n Cheese, every dish satisfied the comfort food craving. 



A restaurant dedicated to highlighting the beauty of fried chicken - count us in! The Revival or the Chicken N’ Waffles, with a side of Mashed Potatoes and Cheese Grits! One of Austin’s favorite homegrown restaurants, Lucy’s is a must on the comfort food tour!
