Live acoustic Latin music, excellent cocktails, a romantic alley way patio and amazing food... the female and Latin American owned Ocho is a gem!

Updated February 2022

Quietly opened on West Jefferson Blvd at the end of 2020, Ocho Latin Cuisine in Oak Cliff comes from the same family as vibrant Coco's in Bishop Arts. It’s also set up the same way - walk in to find sectioned off areas built for local vendors to sell goods. And in the very back, find the restaurant that spills out into the alley way.

Atmosphere

Choose your vibe: you can book the animal mural room for private events, or you can sit near the hand painted leopard, octopus, hummingbird and peacocks during your meal! Or, head into the warehouse-like main dining space where Frida and Selena will join you. Our favorite spot was outside with a covered patio, hanging lights, colorful flowers and an Instagrammable Hola OC wall!

Food

Mexican cuisine spans the menu - the Green Mole was a standout, especially for the one of us who loves cilantro. Also try the Crudo Ceviche and the popsicle-shaped Elotes! The food was truly delicious, and we cannot wait to go back. Visit for happy hour Thursday and Friday from 4-6 PM or for brunch Thursday-Sunday from 11 AM - 3 PM.

Live Music

The cherry on top of our visit was the live Latin music by artist Helio Portales. What an amazing voice! His serenading the dinner was magical, and you can catch him every Thursday from 5-9 pm at Ocho!
