Ari District

The aim of Ari is to blend the feel of Bangkok's cafes with the flavors that owner and chef, Lilly, grew up enjoying in Southern Thailand! And this isn’t Lilly’s first rodeo - she had a restaurant in Plano in the 90’s, called Tuppee Tong!

The Atmosphere

Located in a strip mall on Inwood, Ari is a minimalist, contemporary space filled with light wood, plants, hanging Edison lights and watercolor chicken portraits. It pairs perfectly with their modern approach at Thai cooking, and the dining room is officially open again!

Food

It’s clear that the dishes are handmade and prepared thoughtfully - don’t expect a fast turnaround with your order. When we went at 1:30 PM for lunch, much of the menu was sold out. We aren’t complaining though, just rather speaking to how “farm-to-table” Ari is. And you bet we will be back earlier to get our hands on the Duck Pineapple Curry, Ari Katsu Sandos (a take off the Japanese sandwich), and Mango Sticky Rice.
We enjoyed the Pad Thai, Chicken Panang Curry, Fried Rice, and Tom Yum Soup that everyone mentioned in reviews, and they were heavenly. And don’t forget to order the Ari Milk Green Tea!

Saturday Markets

Ari hosts Ari Thai Markets on Saturdays that feature a limited menu of Thai street food items like Coconut-Sticky Rice stuffed Squid, Moo Ping Skewers and Khao Moo Dang (Thai BBQ Pork and Rice) to name a few of our faves!
