The beloved Apothecary Bar next to Rye has a new pop-up, Dining Through the Decades, now open through July! We stopped by to check out April’s 1920s menu and were truly blown away by the menu and attention to detail!

DINING THROUGH THE DECADES
This new experience at Apothecary features one decade a month, and it started with the ‘20s! Menus are created as if they were served during that era, using only ingredients and tools that were available at the time! Each month, a new decade will be featured on the menu:
🍸 April: 1920s
🎸 May: 1950s
🪩 June: 1970s
🎮 July: 1990s
🏆 August: “Best of,” bringing back faves from each month!
Plus, you get a card when you visit that you can get stamped for each decade you travel to, and once you visit them all, you’ll get some free swag!
A HISTORIC MENU
Each item on the menu is inspired by a different event or place from that decade, so everything you order has a backstory, and they really did their research! We sipped the:
🐝 Bee’s Knees: originally served at the Ritz Hotel in Paris
🚢 First Class Ticket: based on the last dessert served on the Titanic (our fave!)
⚓️ Old Man River: inspired by The Show Boat Musical
🥬 Caesar Salad: paying tribute to Caesar Cardini, the creator of the classic salad
They also have retro-inspired food items, like Upside Down Pineapple Kool-Aid Cake, plus regular faves like their Cacio A La King!
CUISINE-INSPIRED COCKTAILS
Yes, you read that right… we tried a Caesar Salad cocktail! You’ll find a few foods-turned-drinks rotating through the menu, inspired by foods like Steak, Pizza, Butter Curry, and more – definitely worth a try if you’re feeling adventurous!
MICHELIN-RECOGNIZED
Late last year, 27 Dallas restaurants joined the Michelin Guide, and this spot was one of them! Rye and Apothecary received the Exceptional Cocktail Award for having some of the highest-quality and most creative sips in the entire state!
