KIRIN COURT

Kirin Court is your go-to Dallas Dim Sum destination, offering the brunch favorite at any time of day. It’s an institution at this point, “open longer since I’ve been alive” said the host (who is 24 years old) when we called to ask about how long it’s been around. It’s even been recognized by the City of Richardson as an Economic Development, Growth and Expansion recipient, for its “long-term support of the Richardson community and as an iconic symbol of its diversity.”

SPACE

Perfect for large groups, walk up the stairs of a strip mall and step inside an over-sized space filled with traditional Chinese decor and dozens of big round tables awaiting the weekend brunch crowd. They also have rooms for rent that can seat anywhere from 26-350 guests!

DIM SUM

Kirin Court’s dim sum is made fresh daily and can be served steamed, baked, stir-fried and deep-fried. Our favorite are the BBQ Pork Buns, but we also love the shrimp dumplings too! And don’t skip on the sesame dumplings or egg custard tarts for a sweet treat, or the white radish cakes for a savory addition to your dim sum journey!

*If you’re looking for the push-cart experience, you must visit on a weekend, but expect a wait if so!

THE REST OF THE MENU

Although their dim sum is their specialty, they have menu that couples as a book, it’s so long! Tofu, seafood, or meat dishes of different veggies and sauce combinations line the pages. A specialty to try: the clay hot pots with duck!

PS They have incredible lunch specials with massive protein plates for $10.95 served with rice and an eggroll!

If you haven’t yet visited this dim sum gem, mark it on your list! You may spot a local reality TV star there because the Bachelor’s Catherine Giudici and RHOD’s Tiffany Moon who are regulars!
