We were recently wandering the Fort Worth Stockyards and came across the new Mule Alley development, which is a really cool area! At the very end of the strip lies the Hotel Drover! We stopped in to see it and ended up spending the afternoon there, sipping cocktails and listening to live music!

HOTEL DROVER

Named after the cattlemen and women, a.k.a. drovers, who herded longhorns across the plains and helped put Fort Worth on the map, the 200-room Autograph collection has a contemporary design combined with adorable western charm. We love how true to the neighborhood the Drover is, while also bringing an upscale, boutique hotel to the area for both guests and non-guests alike!

STAY

If you’re planning to kick off your boots and stay awhile, the hotel has a rustic-luxe feel with artisan bath products, handcrafted leather items, and furniture made locally at the Stockyards. Fun fact: the hotel is dog friendly and offers complimentary dog beds, treats, bowls and leashes during your stay!

THE BACKYARD

Guest or not, The Backyard at Hotel Drover is an outdoor oasis and live music venue! We were floored by how stunning and well designed it is! Grab food and drinks from the Veranda bar, play lawn games by the fountain or take in the view with creekside bar seating! And they have live music every Friday-Sunday!

EAT + DRINK

97 West Kitchen & Bar is the hotel’s restaurant with a broad menu of Texas fare, elevated ranch classics, and reimagined Southern comfort foods like sweet tea, marinated fried green tomatoes, shishito pepper crab dip, and pecan smoked salmon!

There's also a Lobby bar with cowhide chairs, longhorn skulls, Texas-sized limestone fireplace and a charming two-story library filled with Texas books if you’d like to escape the Texas heat!

Next time you’re in Fort Worth, definitely stop by Hotel Drover! We really are so impressed and excited to share the property with you after having an amazing by-chance experience there ourselves!
