LA TIKI PAISA
By day, the space operates as La Casita Bakeshop, but when the evening rolls around, it becomes a full-service tiki bar and restaurant. The concept blends Mexican, Asian, and Polynesian flavors, resulting in an eclectic menu of bold, innovative dishes paired with expertly crafted cocktails. The goal is to make guests feel as if they have been transported to an island far away, even though they are in the middle of Dallas.
COCKTAILS WITH A TWIST
The bar program features a mix of classic and inventive tiki cocktails, often incorporating Latin and Asian ingredients. Drinks like the Golden Escalator bring together mezcal, brandy, and rum with passion fruit, guava, and orange juice, while the Mai Tai delivers a more traditional blend of rhum agricole, Jamaican rum, lime, and orgeat.
Other highlights include the Cafecito Grog, made with aged rum, espresso liqueur, and coffee syrup, and the Hurricane, a bold rum-based drink that is limited to two per guest.
AN UNEXPECTED FOOD MENU
Start with small plates like Crispy Scotch Shrimp with Chiang Mai sausage, Kimchi Fries topped with gochujang mornay, or an EXCELLENT beef tartare with herbs, cashews, and egg. Main dishes include an insanely good Kimchi Carbonara with housemade noodles and shiitake mushrooms, and a Steak and Okonomiyaki, pairing Angus beef with a savory Japanese cabbage pancake.
P.S. do NOT skip the fermented hot honey butter and homemade sourdough!
