Uptown Dallas just got a new addition to their dining scene and it’s stunning! We visited the recently opened Lyla on McKinney Avenue for a lively dinner and are excited to report it’s worth the hype!

Find the chic spot in the former Primo’s location next to Breadwinners right on Mckinney Avenue. You’re welcomed by beachy decor, hydrangeas surrounding the door, rattan lights, and Morrocan-inspired tile. Before we even walked inside we were totally blown away!
The inside is a more moody vibe yet it’s super lively with dim lights, textures, more colorful tiles, and plants galore! It’s a truly stunning space!
THE DRINKS
Snag a seat at the bar or dine on the patio or lounge. Either way, the drinks match the vibe! Enjoy a variety of unique cocktails with ingredients like passionfruit, Mexican coke, pomegranate, and green tea.
Our group loved the Santorini Sunset garnished with dried passionfruit but the star of the show was the Olive Brand with pistachio which tasted like pistachio gelato!
THE FOOD
Indulge in elevated Italian and Mediterranean-inspired dishes all meant to order family-style so you can try them all! From apps, pastas, pizzas, salads, fish, and meat, it’s the perfect combo of light and hearty!
We split the:

💚 Crispy brussels
🧀 Burrata
💜 Fig & arugula pizza
🍕 Truffle pepperoni pizza
🍝 Spicy orecchiette pasta (so good!)
Everything was delicious! We can’t wait to try the lobster and fries, feta salmon, and filet mignon next time!
THE 101
All in all, we are so excited for Uptown’s newest restaurant and truly had a great experience! It’s the perfect spot for a girls night out or lively dinner! Reservations are now open and we highly encourage a visit!
