The mother-daughter duo behind 8 Cloves and JuiceBabe has brought Âme (Ah-mmh), a French and Indian fusion concept, to the heart of beloved Bishop Arts. Âme is the French word for soul, which is extremely fitting for the bold space and dishes!

Âme
Chef Afifa is the mom half of the duo, who combines Indian flavors and spices with French techniques that have the area buzzing to try them out! The dining room is so vibrant complete with jewel tones, funky decor and upscale touches including two aristocratic paintings of Perry the Parrot and Olivia the Owl! If you’re in the mood for a quick bite, there’s a charming bar where you’ll have a front row seat of the mixologists at work.
Indian Cuisine
Each dish we tried at brunch blew us away with a balanced combo of spice + flavor, and we’re excited to go back for dinner to try out the Cashew Chicken Tikka, some sharables, and, of course, some of the desserts. Plus they have a menu section dedicated to bread that’s speaking our language. Since the menu consists of Indian influences, there are vegan and gluten free options in each category! They also have an extensive wine list, so you can make sure all your flavors blend seamlessly!
Brunch
On Saturdays and Sundays treat yourself to a unique brunch experience with adventurous dishes to boot! The star of the show is a Tikka Benedict, aka eggs benedict covered in savory tikka sauce in place of traditional hollandaise. Even the cocktails include fun twists like the Golden Turmeric Punch, the Iced Matcha Cocktail, and the mimosa made with JuiceBabe! It was truly sublime and so fun to try out new brunch foods topped with a traditional Masala Chai!
Elephant Bar
Cocktail aficionados and novices alike can step into a sultry champagne and cocktail bar next to the dining room that feels like crossing over to France! Whether before or after your dinner, enjoy quality, quick sips in cozy seating under the grand, antique chandelier! Make your reservations for Saturday or Sunday to enjoy their killer brunch!
