West Dallas is getting a lot of growth right now! We’re posting about yet another opening after announcing ArtPark, this time focusing on Milagro Tacos Cantina! Milagro is the reincarnation of beloved Tacos Mariachi, which closed and never reopened during COVID, and we are so glad to see those octopus tacos return!

Updated July 2021

Tacos Mariachi shut both of its locations down in 2020 struggling to survive the pandemic but owner Jesús Carmona is back with a new spot that’s nearly identical to the old ones and just two blocks away! He has renamed the concept from Mariachi to Milagro and will be serving a similar menu of authentic Tijuana-style street tacos along with some new additions too!

The Menu

If you were a Tacos Mariachi fan, you’re in luck because you can find all of the old favorites on the menu like those incredible fish, shrimp and octopus tacos! New to the menu: ceviche tostadas, veggie bowls and a shrimp burger! They are also serving up breakfast tacos on Saturdays and Sundays! We tried a little bit of everything including the pulpo taco, pollo al pastor taco, smoked salmon taco, shrimp ceviche tostada, elote and of course chips and queso. Everything was so fresh and delicious but the stand out item was unsurprisingly the pulpo taco with grilled octopus, cheese, avocado and a spicy pesto salsa!

Drinks

You can find the classics like traditional margaritas, Mexican beers and even a michelada, but we suggest ordering the Socorro Cantarito which is a super refreshing grapefruit cocktail served in a terracotta clay glass and has a straw dipped in chamoy and tajin!

The Space

The inside has casual cantina vibes and features light blue walls with colorful graffiti, art work and a festive neon sign! They also have a great covered patio with outdoor bar seating as well! You can find it down from Trinity Groves and right next door to Lone Star Axe if you want to pair your tacos with a fun activity!

They are open Tuesday to Friday 11am-9pm, Saturday 10:30am-9pm and Sunday 10:30am-3pm. It’s important to note they are closed on Mondays.
