We love a good theme, and at Celestial Beerworks, they take their space theme to a whole new level! From bar decor and murals to the names of the beers like “Electromagnetism” or “Newton’s 1st Lager,” the off-the-beaten-path brewery is a combination of the owners’ favorite things: art, science, and beer! You’ll find deals on your drinks every Monday through Wednesday, trivia every Thursday, crispy pitcherz discounted every Friday and Saturday, special events, and a wide variety of drinks to go!

Community Beer Company is one of the biggest independent breweries in Dallas….and for good reason! Not only does this brewery produce some of the best city brews, but it also stays true to its name by involving the whole community with its property in the Design District. Find everything from fitness events to beer meet-ups to weekly Geeks Who Drink trivia. They also have free tours every Saturday at 2 pm and 4 pm. And everyone is invited in, even your pets!

Another Deep Ellum gem, this iconic brewery is easily recognizable by its colorful cans and Mr. Smiley logo. With their year-round and seasonal beers, DEBC’s beers have become staples all across Texas restaurants. However, seeing where all the magic happens on St. Louis Street is an experience for the books. They also host brewery tours every Saturday at 1 pm and 3 pm where you can enjoy a few beers on the brew deck and see how DEBC has mastered the art of taking simple flavors and crafting them to perfection!

Just south of Dallas, in a converted Carriage House in the Cedars, you can find the unique Four Corners taproom and its artfully crafted (and designed) brews. From honey ale, grapefruit, and peach and from oatmeal to s’mores, they have the most unique specialty brews! A must-try is their fried chicken which is made with gluten-free flour and Thai spice, and then fried in beef tallow and their Arepas, a traditional South African dish, made with Necessary Evil instead of water. Enjoy live music every Sunday at 6 pm and Thursday at 7 pm, in addition to other events and specials throughout the week!

Outfit Brewing opened its doors in an old industrial warehouse in August 2018. Almost hidden, this brewery is a gem in the wall and worth the hunt! The whole ambiance of the warehouse is simple, laid back, and nostalgic. With a logo as simple as their flavors, Outfit Brewing has definitely made a name for itself in the art of minimalist beer! Stop in to enjoy a unique Saison, Cream Ale, NEIPA, or any of their other crafts – we promise you’ll be glad you did!

When you want to grab a beer and play some games with your friends, Oak Highlands is exactly where you want to go! Their beer has won countless awards since 2015 and they can keep you and your crew entertained with shuffleboard, corn hole, ping pong, and a foosball table in the back. They also have a large glass window along the brewing area, so you enjoy your drink with a view!

Located just outside of Bishop Arts is Oak Cliff Brewing Co, with a beer garden-styled taproom and original, Insta-worthy murals! They open at 4 Wednesday through Friday and at 12 on Saturdays and Sundays!

You’ve seen the infamous red Pegasus all over Dallas, but Pegasus City Brewery brings new hype to the flying horse by creating #PorchApproved beers that take flight! Each of their brews are accompanied by a description and their perfect pairings such as “steak, smooth jazz, and conspiracy theories” or “Texas BBQ, golden retrievers, and the American Dream.” Their beers are timeless, and their flavors set the standard for simple, full-bodied brews!

Firstly, the Velvet Hammer is worth the trip alone! And secondly, this Design District brewery cares a lot about their beer. They received a gold medal at the Great American Beer Festival (GABF) for the Royal Scandal, followed by a “Best Brewery in America” recognition by the US Open Beer Championship and cemented its place on Dallas’s list of best breweries! Peticolas has a super fun environment with foosball, VR games, board games, and more. They also have informal tours on the fly if time allows and are available to book in advance for larger groups through their website!

Texas Ale Project is not only a taproom but also a beer garden located in the Design District! They're open every day but Monday, and they offer live music and beer to go. It's also the ultimate event space! All of their spaces from the taproom, indoor brewery, and beer garden, are available for rent for private events, and if you really want to go all out, you can use the entire brewery! They also have numerous services including event staffing, audio/visual production, and valet parking services, to name a few, and numerous amenities like a projector and screen, bar games, and more!

Trinity Cider Co. brings delicious hard cider to the heart of Deep Ellum in its rustic-looking spot on the corner of Main Street and Pryor. Boasting exposed bricks, unique lighting, and a wall of fermentation tanks behind the bar – Trinity Cider Co. is as much for the cider enthusiast as it is for the Dallasite explorer. Unlike typical sweet ciders, Trinity brews their drinks with champagne yeast, which brings the sugar content down to virtually zero. If you’re in the mood to have your taste buds rocked, stop in for a crisp, bubbly pour of their Northwestern-styled cider!
