We recently found ourselves driving by Lovefield when we spotted a sign for local brewery, On Rotation. Not having heard of this location yet, we pulled over to find the coolest, most colorful brewery with delicious craft beers! The brewpub had just opened a few weeks prior after moving from Lakewood! We’re breaking it all down!

ON ROTATION

On Rotation is one part small batch brewery and the other craft beer bar with rotating taps from local craft breweries! The owners were inspired by the beer culture in the Northwest and created unique “explosively experimental flavors,” like the imperial jalapeño saison and the cinnamon peach waffle!

CURRENTLY ON TAP

This brewpub touts its tap list as one of the most eclectic in Dallas. Some other creative flavors to expect: a peach almond maibock, black is beautiful, and cafe au lait. They also serve up typical flavors like IPAs and Pilsners. But beyond their own brews, you can find beers from Peticolas, Celestial Beerworks, Manhattan Beer Project and more! Wine and cocktails are also on the menu, so there's a drink for everyone!

FOOD

They serve food too and have gluten-friendly fried chicken, a.k.a. it’s gluten free but other items on the menu aren’t. So it’s not 100% gluten free. Pair your bites with one of several housemade sauces, like peach honey mustard or avocado jalapeño ranch. The biscuits with peach jam caught our eye too… seems like On Rotation really loves peach, and we aren’t mad about it!

EVENTS

If you're looking for some fun, head to On Rotation for their three weekly events! Join in on brunch every Sunday from 11 AM - 2 PM, Trivia Tuesday each week at 7 PM, or Clean Slate Wednesdays from 4-10 PM. Clean Slate is when the brewery takes inventory of the taps that are almost out, and those featured taps are offered at 30% of 50% off depending on the size of your brew.

ATMOSPHERE

Their new tap room is super cool! The first thing you'll see is their expansive patios on the side of the entrance, with lounge chairs, picnic tables and games. When you step inside you'll find a bar that welcomes you in with its bright ray of colors. Our favorite area is a tiny room off to the side, separated by a white ornate screen and decorated with oval shaped cushions.

The entire space has a Pan Am feel to it, and we loved the plane-themed touches like the flights (no pun intended) served in airplane trays, and the food/drink tickets designed to look like airplane tickets. It’s all very creative!

So take off to On Rotation’s new taproom. It’s an awesome spot, and they host a variety of community events too!
