RECORD GRILL

Record Grill has been a local favorite here in Dallas since the early 1960’s, opened by Julia and Nick Dimoulakis, who wanted to give the Downtown worker an everyday breakfast and lunch spot for a great price! It’s situated near the entrance to the West End, and is nudged up against a much bigger building to it’s left making it look a bit out of place in a funny way.

ATMOSPHERE

This cash-only diner truly takes you back in time with the open kitchen counter seating and a letter board for a menu. There’s only three tables for seating plus several bar top spots, with a mix of clientele from businessmen to motorcycle enthusiasts to locals who probably don’t want us posting about Record Grill

FOOD

You won’t find any crazy or extravagant dishes, but you’ll find nostalgic comfort food that will leave you full and happy. Start your day off with a breakfast burrito and cup coffee for just $5! They also are known for their fresh hotcakes that you can order individually or as a stack.

For lunch we recommend the delicious $6 burger or if you’re really hungry, try the hand breaded chicken fried steak!

So next time you’re seeking out a Downtown lunch spot, give this tiny gem a try. It’s a fun adventure beyond the cheap and good eats it offers!
