As the warmer temperatures keep climbing, we welcome the unofficial picnic season! We have pulled together some of the top spots to grab picnic favorites and some exciting items you might not have thought of before for your picnics! So here are some suggestions for planning your next picnic day!
THE BUTCHER SHOP
Georgie, which opened in 2019 in the Knox/Henderson district, debuted its Georgie Butcher Shop right when quarantine began. It’s located behind the restaurant with high quality meats, pastries, wines, salads, cheeses and more! Stop by for your picnic goodies or grab a bottle of wine and enjoy it there on their small patio.

THE CORNER MARKET
We love how easy and delicious the local Greenville Avenue spot, The Corner Market, is with its plethora of prepared salads, deli menu and convenient boxed lunches! You will also find beautiful stems of colorful flowers that add the perfect touch to your instagrammable picnic. And you can get a trio sampler - our favorite way to do it.
LOWER GREENVILLE | DIRECTIONS
Foxtrot Market is a tried and true favorite for Dallas and has a whole section of prepared meals. Some do require heating but others, like salads and sandwiches, are easy to grab and go! You can expect all your favorite picnic go-to's like chips and cheeses while also adding a creative flair with some of their fancier selections like dry rose cider or Jeni’s Ice Creams (in a cooler of course!)
Step on up to Kuby’s Sausage House on Snider Plaza! This German eatery produces some of the best sausage in town but is also home to an adorable European market to score cheeses and deli meats to make your very own charcuterie board for picnicking. You can also grab a bottle of wine to make your picnic an afternoon-long affair!
UNIVERSITY PARK | DIRECTIONS
If you’re seeking Italian prepared salads from pasta to caprese, head to CiboDivino Market. Check out their pantry specials for yummy additions to your picnic like rosemary focaccia, premade charcuterie and the crowd pleaser, Nutella dessert pizza. Grab a bottle of wine from their selection to top it all off! If your picnic dish is a little less traditional like pizza, check out their $10 Monday pizza special!
