Georgie, which opened in 2019 in the Knox/Henderson district, debuted its Georgie Butcher Shop right when quarantine began. It’s located behind the restaurant with high quality meats, pastries, wines, salads, cheeses and more! Stop by for your picnic goodies or grab a bottle of wine and enjoy it there on their small patio.
The holy grail of prepared foods, Eatzi’s has EVERYTHING you could ever want for your dream picnic. Whether you’re feeling a salad, sushi, sandwich, pasta, or one of their various dishes displayed in the glass cases, Eatzi’s has you covered with its picnic-worthy provisions.
How idyllic does an Italian-themed picnic sound? Head to Jimmy’s food store for a selection of olives, meats, made-to-order sandwiches, baked goods, imported cheese and pasta, a solid wine collection and more! Close your eyes and you’ll feel like you’re picnicking on the Italian coastline!
Note: Jimmy’s isn’t currently doing their made-to-order sandwiches, but they have substituted them with grab-n-go kits!
If you’re looking for a cheese board or crudité for a picnic, order a board (or two!) from Fount Board and Table on Routh Street! Their boards are pre-made for your convenience and they come in a nice to-go box all prepared and ready to eat! These perfect little creations are extremely affordable and the best addition to your park picnics. Don’t forget their picnic dip!
We love how easy and delicious the local Greenville Avenue spot, The Corner Market, is with its plethora of prepared salads, deli menu and convenient boxed lunches! You will also find beautiful stems of colorful flowers that add the perfect touch to your instagrammable picnic. And you can get a trio sampler - our favorite way to do it.
Step on up to Kuby’s Sausage House on Snider Plaza! This German eatery produces some of the best sausage in town but is also home to an adorable European market to score cheeses and deli meats to make your very own charcuterie board for picnicking. You can also grab a bottle of wine to make your picnic an afternoon-long affair!
If you’re seeking Italian prepared salads from pasta to caprese, head to CiboDivino Market. Check out their pantry specials for yummy additions to your picnic like rosemary focaccia, premade charcuterie and the crowd pleaser, Nutella dessert pizza.
