We have always been hoping for more açaí bowl options here in Dallas, and our prayers were finally answered last weekend when Purify Bowls opened in Deep Ellum.

Located on the corner of Commerce and S Hall St, Purify is a project by a French transplant and two Californians, with the hopes of bringing Dallas authentic açaí bowls that you’d find in Brazil. As the owner himself told us, in Brazil açaí bowls are like an afternoon coffee pick me up.
That’s because açaí, usually quite tart, naturally boosts energy, packed with antioxidants, amino acids, fiber, essential fatty acids, vitamins and minerals. But the owner was discussing with us, how so many places in the US add in other fillers like mixed berries, tons of sweet ingredients and added sugars to turn the bowls into more of a dessert.
So Purify Bowls is set to change that, and we tried three and LOVED them! Whether you want fruit, or peanut butter or a variety of seeds, there’s a menu of four premed bowls or you can make your own. And the same goes for smoothies too - we indulged in the “Young Tella” made with Nutella! And during the fall, they even have a PUMPKIN açaí bowl.
