One of the best things about Dallas’s weather is that it allows us to enjoy the outdoors mostly year round, and there’s no better way to soak up some vitamin D than on a rooftop. If that rooftop comes with delicious food, refreshing drinks and good vibes, even better. Get outside and enjoy some of our favorite rooftop bars in Dallas!

Culinary Dropout

CULINARY DROPOUT

From the moment Culinary Dropout opened, it stole our hearts with its rooftop that features views of the Dallas skyline. With a live music, frozen drinks, and big-screen TVs, this trendy yet laid-back spot brings a fresh energy to the Design District. No need to worry about the summer heat either —misters and a retractable roof over the bar keep things cool even on the hottest days.

GALLERY ROOFTOP LOUNGE

While there are a myriad of rooftop bars in Dallas with beautiful skyline views, this one comes with a pool, too! At the Canvas Hotel (formerly the NYLO) sits a rooftop bar called The Gallery. Guests can enjoy the infinity pool and non-guests can stare at it and gaze at the skyline behind it while sipping cocktails (and of course, take the perfect Instagram picture).

Happiest Hour

HAPPIEST HOUR

Happiest Hour is the biggest patio bar in Dallas by square footage, with its massive outdoor patio that spills onto a lawn, and upstairs bar overlooking Victory Park and the American Airlines Center. Just a short walk away from the action, you can easily drop by for a drink before or after a concert or game. It also knows how to do nightlife and once the sun goes down, the rooftop overflows with people dressed up for a night out.

HG Sply Co Rooftop

HG SPLY CO

The atmosphere, unbelievably good nachos, and the spot-on Moscow Mules (try them frozen) -- HG Sply Co has one of the best rooftops in Dallas, hands down. The space spans the length of the restaurant below, along with Social Mechanics and Gung Ho - aka it’s three times as big upstairs as it is downstairs so you have ample room to sit and enjoy. You can see the whole skyline from afar, and HG has weather-proofed the rooftop with heaters and misters.

HIDE

We loved Hide when it was in Deep Ellum, but its new rooftop in Lower Greenville might just be the best yet! With the same amazing food and drinks, this spot offers the perfect setting for a happy hour with stunning views of the downtown skyline.

MEXICAN SUGAR

Sipping margaritas on a rooftop is always a good idea! While there are several locations around town, the Uptown location stands out with a prime rooftop setting in the heart of the city. For tequila enthusiasts, picture this—sunset views paired with their Agave Library, with over 150 mezcals and tequilas, what a perfect match!

MONKEY BAR

Secretly located above Mi Cocina in Highland Park Village, Monkey Bar is best known for their good vibes and strong margaritas. A Mambo Taxi is a must-have and order chips and queso if you are hungry. Be sure to get there early if you are going on a weekend as the small space fills up quickly.

Sky Blossom Rooftop Cocktail

SKY BLOSSOM

One of the coolest rooftops on the list, Sky Blossom is super inconspicuous, hiding through a door and up an elevator on Main Street in Downtown Dallas. It’s next to Campisi’s if you can’t find it, but once you do, you’ll be blown away. You’ll feel like you’re standing with the skyscrapers and up in the clouds. Your views are some of the best in the city, and their cocktails and Vietnamese food pair perfectly!

Sundown at Granada

SUNDOWN AT GRANADA

One of our favorite spots for happy hour or for meeting up before a concert, the Sundown at the Granada has a great rooftop overlooking Greenville Ave. It’s really nice and shaded, with a wood cover, and it’s usually relatively quiet. It’s a lesser known or frequented rooftop bar so if you want a guaranteed table, check out Sundown!

Te Deseo

TE DESEO

Te Deseo is Harwood District’s newest concept featuring Latin American flare and swanky vibes. The massive rooftop with trendy decor, a stunning floral wall, and fantastic views of downtown is the perfect spot to meet your friends for a fancy cocktail before a game or concert at the AAC or just to wait and sip before your reservation downstairs in one of the 4 dining rooms.

Terilli's

TERILLI'S

Known as a hidden treasure, Terilli’s is the most lovely family-owned spot on Middle Greenville. Although it’s pretty fancy inside with white tablecloths and dim lighting, the rooftop feels like you’re on a little patio in Italy! The string lights hung across the patio, greenery up on the walls, and cozy little fire pits, make it a perfect place for a moonlit dinner and espresso martini. They also have a few tv’s which make it a little more fun and casual!

The Charlotte

THE CHARLOTTE

Located on one of the busiest corners of Henderson, this playfully colored rooftop offers a serene escape, thanks to its wood-slatted half wall that blocks out the street’s hustle and bustle. And trust us—the frozen tequila espresso tastes even better when sipping from the rooftop of this newly loved American neighborhood bistro!

THE HENRY

Located right on the border of Uptown and Downtown near Victory Park, The Henry not only has an adorable dog-friendly patio, but also an awesome rooftop bar where you can enjoy yummy cocktails (try the fig mule), delicious appetizers and small plates, and views of downtown and the Perot Museum. The rooftop offers comfortable seating in large, cute booths and high-top bar tables, and if the weather isn’t great, there’s also intimate indoor seating! Don't miss their Hamptons pop-up in the summer, either!

Waterproof Rooftop

WATERPROOF

When the Statler underwent renovations and reopened in 2017 to the public, it brought with it a rooftop bar and pool aka Waterproof. It stands surrounded by the Downtown Dallas skyscrapers making you feel like you’re in New York. It attracts a fancy and young see-to-be-seen crowd and if you don’t get there early enough in the night, you can be waiting for a long time to get up to the 19th floor.
