LAVENDER RIDGE FARMS

Lavender Ridge sits near Gainesville, boasting two acres of fresh lavender for the picking! Family-owned for 150 years, the farm started as a strawberry and melon farm in the 1920’s and converted to a lavender, flower, and herb farm in 2006!

WHAT TO EXPECT

When you arrive, grab a basket to stock up on lavender plants that you trim from the bushes yourself! Bundles are under $10, and you can walk away with a pretty large amount. They make great additions to flower arrangements! After picking your lavender, shop a variety of natural, lavender products in the farm store, which is decorated completely in a shade of purple, of course.

PRODUCTS

We picked up some lavender soap and hand sanitizer that we are still using! They also offer a selection of perennials, cactus, yucca and more plants to take home. Or you can always shop their products via the online store to support a local small business!

GARDENS, CAFE & MORE!

Stroll through the Butterfly Garden full of beautiful lavender flowers with modern day fairy tale vibes! Top it off with lunch at the farm cafe, enjoying lavender lemonade and ice cream topped with lavender honey and lavender blooms, while watching hummingbirds fly to the feeders.

The hummingbirds aren’t the only wildlife you’ll spot, though! Just behind the cafe’s outdoor seating area there is an enclosure of several rescued lemurs that love when guests come to say hello! It was so fun to watch them jump around!

HOURS

The farm opens in May, lavender season winds down in early July, but the farm stays open through December! It's open ‪from 9 AM - 5 PM Friday‬ - Sunday, so you can enjoy lunch, walk the fields, peruse the shop and stroll through the gardens!
