Another day, another new spot in Bishop Arts! And they never fail to impress! Casablanca is the newest concept from the Exxir Hospitality team aka Paradiso, Botanist, Tejas, Jungle and Mermaid Bar.

ABOUT

Casablanca sits behind Tejas, in the back alley creating an off-the-beaten path oasis vibe when you find it. The idea is to transport people to a worldly paradise with a 70’s vintage charm. Think Moorish design meets Tulum’s beachfront resort style restaurants. And along with the lounge, comes a “singeasy” called Casanova that holds a retro karaoke lounge!

THE VIBES

You’ll instantly feel like you came across paradise when walking in to the linen tapestry lined awnings. The aesthetic pulls from Morocco, China, Persia and Bali and is decorated really well - it’s themed and cool without being overdone. We loved that the lounge features lots of poufs for comfortable and intimate community seating! But everything has been thought through from the tiled to textiles to plantings and more!

THE MENU

Six signature cocktails plus a great list of unique wines including ones from Georgia and Macedonia. Try an elevated frozen pina colada with toasted coconut syrup, pineapple, lime, and blended scotch and rum fits perfectly with the vibes and the Hurry and the Peach with peach tea yogurt, citrus liqueur, amontillado sherry, vermouth and bourbon was delicious.

For bites, enjoy the Dan Dan noodles (pictured above), Thai popcorn chicken and Egyptian spiced lamb skewers. In total, there’s 12 to try in 4 different categories: dumplings, skewers, noodle and savory.

SINGEASY

Book one of the secret karaoke rooms in their speakeasy that they’ve cleverly rebranded to a singeasy! They’ll feature wild wallpaper and jewel tones elements and be perfect for private groups!

OPENING

The lounge is Wednesday-Sunday starting at 5 pm, and open until 2 am on Friday and Saturday’s.
