MAYER'S GARDEN

Garret Mayer (the last name is a coincidence) and partner Austin Rodgers of the Alamo Club teamed up to revitalize a historic 1880’s beer garden. The original Mayer’s Garden was an open-air drinking spot with daily live music, delicious food, endless beer from their saloon, vaudeville performances, and a zoo! Mayer’s Garden was considered one of Dallas’ best meet ups at the time and owners hope to continue the legacy with their modern version.

BEER GARDEN

The new Mayer’s encompasses a huge space on the corner of Belmont and Henderson in a newly painted brick building. It has an industrial and elevated sports bar vibe with huge TVs, ample patio seating and an artistic tiled bar. It is the perfect addition to a day drinking and sports driven Henderson Ave down from Skellig and Tap House.

FOOD + DRINK

The Texas inspired menu includes deviled eggs, taquitos, queso, a phenomenal burger, a fried green BLT and a solid list of salads. Or try their specialty Nuggies ‘n Fries!

For drinks, there’s 7 reasonably priced garden cocktails - the Paloma was the clear favorite by looking around the bar. There’s also two frozens: a carajillo and a Frosita, a take off a froze. But don’t leave without taking a Turtle Bite shot with habanero tequila, pineapple, lime, cucumber and honey!

HAPPY HOUR

Mayer’s Garden is offering happy hour from Wednesday - Friday from 3-7 PM. This includes $8 house cocktails, $5 Rita’s and $5-$7 wine and beer.
